Liquid wins gold, silver, and bronze.

Liquid Agency received a total of 10 ADDY awards by the Silicon Valley Advertising Club in recognition for the outstanding work the agency produced in 2005.

What are the ADDYs?
Often compared to the Oscars, the ADDYs are considered amongst the most prestigious awards that an agency can receive for their work in the field of marketing communications. The ADDYs are sponsored by the American Advertising Federation; however, there are many categories besides advertising that are included in this annual competition. In fact, the entries include such items as logos, print and online collateral, point of purchase displays, as well as websites.

A few word of thanks from Scott and Alfredo.
Winning an ADDY is a big deal for us. Winning ten of them was incredible! So, a few words of thanks are required (please bear with us). First of all, we'd like to thank our moms for believing in us (or at least for hoping that we would have a job that we liked and helped us pay rent). Of course, we'd like to thank our clients for allowing us to do work that sometimes made them a little nervous - but they approved it anyhow. Lastly, we would like to express our gratitude to our staff, who are amazingly talented and hard-working...not to mention incredibly patient (for putting up with us).

Music in the other park. Category: Poster, Award Level:  Gold.
Designed to appeal to a younger audience, this poster features an illustration of a hand holding a lighter. On the wrist is a tattoo of the word “other.” Initially, all of us at Liquid were going to get “other” tattooed on our wrists, but then some of us chickened out...so we ordered temporary tattoos instead and gave them away to people who came to the concerts. We felt that this was a fun way to have the brand come to life.

Prolifiq Software. Category: Brand Identity, Award Level: Gold.
Prolifiq is a software company that helps corporations improve the effectiveness of their Email communications through an amazing proprietary technology. They not only enable richer and more dynamic messages, but also provide detailed tracking information that helps evaluate and monitor digital marketing efforts. The solution was based on a monogram of the letter “P” inside of a shape combining a “talk bubble” and a target, representing targeted communications.

Memory Ten. Category: Brand Identity, Award Level:  Silver.
Memory Ten is the world’s largest online store for memory products. As part of a brand refresh initiative, we started exploring a few logos that looked very “high-tech”. Eventually, however, we landed on a more organic (and more meaningful) identity: the elephant. This magnificent animal is the largest creature living on the surface of the planet and it is well known for its amazing memory. Although it was not what the client had expected, employees and customers alike have warmly embraced the new mark.

Advertising Campaign for Liquid. Category: Advertising, Award Level: Silver.
Winning an advertising award for your own advertising campaign is both wonderful… and a little weird. Actually, we were thrilled that the judges thought this ad was worthy of an award. We definitely had fun creating it and it is reflective of who we are, not in terms of the model, of course, but in terms of the slight irreverence that is part of our personality. As a company, we’re serious about branding… but we’re also adamant about having fun and not taking ourselves too seriously.
