Emmy winner evolves into brand strategist.

Martha Bowman started her career in journalism, quickly became a top-notch reporter, and even won an Emmy for her work. Today, as the Director of Brand Strategy at Liquid, she uses her investigative and reporting skills to define, build and manage our clients’ brands.

Not every brand strategist has won an Emmy.
Martha brings a rich and diversified experience to Liquid's senior team. She started her career at the CBS station in Salt Lake City, as an investigative journalist. There, she honed her skills uncovering valuable information and extracting the vital facts to create compelling news reports. These same skills, have become invaluable in her role at Liquid, where she leads a team crafting powerful brand strategies and messaging platforms for our clients.

Martha received an Emmy for her work on "The Needy Vs the Greedy", a documentary examining fraud in the local unemployment and food stamp programs. The same project also won the most prestigious award in journalism: The Alfred I. duPont, Columbia University Award.

From journalism to branding: A great story.
After a successful career as a reporter, Martha turned her focus to branding and evolved into a respected brand strategist. She worked for many years at DeLor, a brand consulting firm based in Louisville, Kentucky, where she started as an Account Executive and ultimately became the Executive VP of Marketing. At DeLor, Martha worked on high level corporate and product brand strategies for clients like Pfizer, General Electric, GSK, and P&G. Additionally, using her journalistic background, she wrote several articles and white papers on brand strategy - and was a featured speaker at marketing association conferences nationwide.

Martha understands what it takes to deliver on strategy.
Martha is a very practical person. Her no-nonsense approach is evident as soon as you meet her. It’s part of what makes her a great strategist. She has an uncanny ability to sift through piles of information and focus on the important issues, and she has a gift for developing smart, clear and - perhaps most importantly - highly actionable strategies. Martha has worked on very complex brand repositioning and revitalization assignments; she has helped companies address the challenges inherent with mergers and acquisitions; and she has helped companies launch entirely new brands. At Liquid she works closely with our creative directors, ensuring that the brand strategies are translated into engaging brand touchpoints.
